Delicious hot chocolate is the festive foundation of your bar, but the mix-ins really bring the party, and let your guests to make their mug of cheer all their own.
FAVORITE TOPPINGS & MIX-INS:
Marshmallows — Have a variety; there are never too many marshmallows! Classic tiny white ‘mallows, flavored Smashmallows (peppermint and mint chocolate are great), or homemade.
Candy Canes (whole and crushed)
Spices: Powdered Cinnamon, Cayenne, & Nutmeg (level up by getting whole nutmeg to finely grate on top)
Fresh mint leaves
Crushed/rough grind espresso beans
Shots of Espresso
OTHER YUMMIES TO ADD TO THE MIX:
Round out your display with chocolate dipped pretzel sticks (bonus: it doubles as a stirrer), cookies, Pirouline, Pocky, fresh fruit, and a salty nut mix.
MAKE IT BOOZY:
Let your guests spike their hot chocolate with our favorite booze pairings: Five Farms Irish Cream or Baileys Almande (for those that don’t do dairy), Basil Hayden Dark Rye, a tasty rum like Kōloa Kauaʻi Coffee or Spiced Rum, or Grind Espresso Shot Rum.
Set everything out in a fun assortment of bowls and jars and you’ve got a Hot Chocolate spectacle that everyone will remember.
